  • MEMORABLE DISC GOLF MOMENT
Finishing 3rd place at the Eric Yetter Champions Cup was special for me in 2006. That was the first A-tier I ever played in, and to come back just one year later and beat the defending champ as well as most of the field... WOW! I realized my game had come a long way.
    Nick's Disc Golf Tips
Learn Before You Burn: Don't throw drivers as a beginner! Use a putter or a mid-range and learn how to throw it straight. Once you start overpowering these and turning them right, then try the driver again. Check your grip and motion against those who throw farther than you. Remember that more power is derived from your hips. The better your footwork is the, more your hips turn. Why can't I make a putt? It's probably because you're so worried about missing! Don't worry about form and all that nonsense... just throw it in the chains! If you miss, just try again. Practice helps too.

    Disc Comments
    ESP Surge
    (175 gm)
This is my long distance bomber and what I use when I want to throw 500+ feet. Both in the air or on a roll, ESP Surge travels further than any other disc. Put one in your bag and have fun bombing it!
    Z Predator
    (175 gm)
This is my baby! One of the first drivers I ever owned continues to be my best. Very reliable overstable driver that is not at all afraid of the wind. This disc wouldn't flip over into a hurricane and I trust it for all of my long range hyzers, with wind or without. Its also useful for big S-curves and forehand rollers.
    FLX Predator
    (175 gm)
This is the most overstable disc I have ever owned. Predator is a trick disc for me. I use it for extreme S-curves, spike hyzers, grenades and whatever else I can think up. I also like how the FLX plastic reacts to trees and the ground. It seems to absord the hit and stop instead of bouncing and rolling away.
    X XL
    (175 gm)
This is my woods driver. It is somewhat understable and is valuable for finessing shots through tight gaps. I use this disc for shots that turn to the right or go straight. I also use this disc for backhand rollers and inverted grenades.

    Z Wasp
    (175 gm)
The best midrange ever made! These discs have the most durable rim of anything I've ever thrown and therefore have a very long life. Brand new they go reliably left, a little beat and they go straight, and a lot of beat they'll go right. Each of these stages takes a long time to get to the next and that's why I love these discs. My first ace came with a Wasp!

    X Soft Challenger
    (175 gm)
This putter feels just right for my grip. It's soft plastic sticks to chains and it's bead makes it reliable for throwing in the wind. I use it to go straight, left, or right. I use this disc for almost every shot under 250 feet and I would be lost without it.
