| Memorable Disc Golf Moment |
Winning the 2008 Players Cup would have to be my number one memorable moment in my Disc Golf career. It was an unbelievable feeling to finally capture that Major win, and cap off a great season.
Throwing demo shots at a Wichita Wranglers minor league baseball game was fun. They had me throwing discs out of the park in between innings to entertain the crowd. Kind of a cool feeling crushing one over the center field wall!!
Winning the 2009 Mixed Doubles World Championship with partner Liz Lopez. We played solid golf all day and felt really good to win the World title.

| E-Mac's Disc Golf Tips |
Play. Probably one of the best ways to improve your game is to play your local leagues, or minis. It's usually inexpensive, and as competitive as most local tournaments. Another good idea -- if possible -- is to play with golfers that are better than you. This will help you pick up tips and see different shots you might not have known about.
Better Ways to Practice The best way to practice is grab your favorite stack of discs, go out to an open field, and work on all kinds of different shots. If possible, take a video camera with you. It will be a lot easier to fix what's wrong when you see what's wrong. Another thing is, don't be afraid to ask questions. Find your local Pro, he or she should be able to answer any questions you might have.
Putting is Easy... If You Practice What it really comes down to is practice, and repetition. Find yourself a basket, and a few Challengers, or Magnets. Stand about 15 feet from the basket, putt until you feel comfortable from that range. Then move back a few steps. Continue this process at least three times a week. About an hour of putting practice will become routine in no time. One of the biggest things to remember while putting is to follow thru, and remain balanced at all times. Do this and you will see your putt improve.
Tips for better play in rain or snow
The key is keeping everything dry and using a umbrella is a must. What I like to do if it's raining during a round is keep at least 4 golf towels on me, one clipped underneath my umbrella, one strictly for my putters, one for mud, and the other one in a plastic bag in the side pocket of my golf bag. Another little secret of mine is using climbers chalk. It's cheap and works wonders on your wet plastic. Simply use either a Birdie Bag, or Rosin Bag, mix a little chalk in a plastic bag and you'll have extra grip in the wetness while everyone else will be dealing with discs slipping out of their hands.

COURSES YOU SHOULD PLAY: |

Comments |
Water Works Kansas City, MO |
An awesome course with a lot of elevation. |
Maple Hill Leicester, MS |
Beautiful - championship caliber. Great use of elevation, ponds, woods and Christmas trees. |
Blue Ribbon Pines Twin Cities, MN |
A well manicured course on a sod farm. Hole 4 is the most picturesque hole I've ever seen. |
DeLaveaga Park Santa Cruz, CA |
Wide variety of shots, Every hole is a signature hole, with the 27th hole 'top of the world' having the most scenic view on a disc golf course. |
Emporia Jones Park East Side Emporia, KS |
Two 18 hole courses in one park. I designed it... you should try it! |

ESP NUKE (171-174 gm) |
The NUKE is super fast and freakishly long! I use the NUKE for big shots either down wind, or fairly open longer holes. The wide rim makes for easy grip and release. I guarantee if you pick up a NUKE you will add at least 20 feet distance to your drive. |
Z Force (172-174 gm) |
Longest flying headwind disc in my bag. The Force is the most consistent long range driver out there. Great disc for all wind conditions. |
Z Predator (170-174 gm)
|
I throw the Predator in ALL conditions. The best headwind disc on the market, hands down! Never met a Pred I didn't like. |
Z XL (174 gm) |
The XL is a slower flying disc, great for tight wooded courses or long turnover shots. It is by far my straightest flying disc. I use the XL for Hyzer Flip-up shots, or tight holes with a late turn to the right. |
Z Flick (170-174 gm) |
I use the Flick for sidearm shots. Great overstable disc that you can throw flat and know it's not going to flip. |
ESP Avenger SS (172 - 174) |
The Avenger SS is the best roller you'll find. If you have any trouble rolling, pick up an Avenger SS. This disc is also great for looong turnovers, and an easy-to-control driver for newer players. |

ESP and Z Buzzz (176 - 178) |
There is NOT a better midrange disc on the market! This disc flies on what ever angle you put it on. I break out the Z version on those windy Kansas days. |
ESP Meteor (max wt) |
The Meteor is the longest flying midrange out there. Thrown with a little hyzer, disc will flip up and glide forever. farther than a lot of drivers out there. |

D Challenger (170 - 174) |
The BEST putter on the market! My putter is a stock stamp, and I carry a SuperColor Challenger for upshots within 200 feet. It is a great and very predictable overstable putter. I'm throwing the Dynamic Discs SuperColor Challenger. |
ESP Banger GT (174 gm) |
I use the Banger for most of my upshots, from 200 feet and in. The Groove Top (GT) makes this overstable putter easy to grip and throw |
