  • moment: My most memorable disc golf moment as of now would have to be the United States Amateur Championship. I did not finish as well as I had wanted but I got a taste of how a professional disc golf event should be ran. I also got to meet a ton of new people which is always a bonus.
    Aaron's disc golf tips
Aaron Diehl / Team Discraft One of the most common mistakes I see newer disc golfers making is that they are trying to throw some of the new overstable drivers before they learn to throw a disc properly. My advice to the newer disc golfer would be practice with putters and midrange discs until you get accurate with those. Then I would recommend that they try a very understable driver.

The best way to add distance to your drive is to go out to a field ...not the course and just throw. Watch a lot of video of the top pros and try to incorporate some of there throwing technique into to yours.

In a tournament don't play the players, play the course. That is something that is always good to keep in mind because disc golf is one of those sports that takes a lot of metal strength. Disc golf is unlike other sports where there is a defense. In disc golf the course is the defense, and that is all you need to keep in mind. Don't try to keep track of other scores, just take it one shot at a time.

    Disc Comments
    Z Force
    (174 gm)
Hands down my go to driver in any situation. Holds a great line. I can throw it anywhere from 380 to 500+ feet.
    Z Surge
    (174 gm)
Super fast with great glide. I use this disc anytime I have to throw a tall anhyzer.
    Z Predator
    (174 gm)
A very trustworthy driver for windy conditions
    Z and ESP Avenger SS
    (174 gm)
Best roller disc ever. Right out of the box you can put down rollers with ease. It is also great for over the top spike anhyzer shots.
    Z Stalker
    (174 gm)
Fills a great spot in my bag between a midrange and a driver.
In The Disc Golf Bag: Midrange
    Disc Comments
    Z Wasp
    (178)
The Wasp is my most used midrange. It reacts very well when thrown hard because it always wants to come back strong at the end.
    Z Buzzz
    (178)
Super straight right out of the box. It also has a wide range of distances it can be thrown from anywhere from 200 to 400ft.
    X Comet
    (178)
I throw the Comet for mostly anhyzers. The Comet is great because you don't have to try to turn it just throw it flat and watch it work its magic.
    FLX Drone
    (178)
I use the drone for chip shots anywhere from 300ft and in.
In The Disc Golf Bag: Putt and Approach
    Disc Comments
    D Challenger
    (174)
I use the Challenger for a lot of hyzer approach shots. I also putt with the challenger if it is really windy
    X Soft APX
    (174)
My main putter for now. The APX is dead straight for putting. I also use it for a lot of anhyzer up shots.
