- How did you guys learn so much about making discs fly?
It's rumored that our founder and president Jim Kenner threw his pacifier out of the crib, then retrieved it and shaved down the edge until he could successfully get the distance to send it out the window. Jim's 40 years of throwing discs plus the input of many World Champions helps us to design discs that meet the exacting needs of serious players worldwide. He is a founding member of the Freestyle Players Association, and a member of the Disc Golf Hall of Fame.
- Do you give tours of the Discraft production facilities?
We would like to, but the mad scientists in our rotation labs who help us to create the world's finest flying discs are not suitable for display to the public because, well... they're completely nuts. Said one recently: "Fools! I'll out-drive them all! AH ha ha ha ha HA!" They design great discs, but 'understable' isn't just a term used to describe disc flight characteristics around here...

- How many distance records have been set with Discraft discs?
Three that we know of: Scott Stokely of Colorado set a record of 660 feet (201.01 m) in 1995 with a Discraft X-Clone, then beat his own record in 1998, tossing a 169 g Discraft XL for 693 feet (211.32 meters). Germany's Christian Max Voigt extended the distance record to 712 feet (217.02 meters) in 2001 using a Discraft XS.
Today's Big Guns are saying that the Spectra is destined to break yet another record!

- Who are Discraft's disc golf World Champion players?
Discraft Team member and California native Nathan Doss won the 2007 and 2005 Professional Disc Golf World Titles.
Previous World Champions include five-time winner Elaine King, Ron Russell and Cameron Todd. All are members of Team Discraft.
- I'm an up-and-coming professional disc golfer. What do I need to do to become a member of Team Discraft?
Win, learn, throw a bag full of Discraft, and be an exceptional ambassador of the game. We keep a close eye on players who display these traits.
- Where can I go for more information about ultimate, disc golf or freestyle?
The Ultimate Players Association, the Professional Disc Golf Association, and the Freestyle Players Association are excellent places to start.
